Member Engagement & Maslow's Hierarchy

Credit unions were created to meet the needs of people. Our mantra is “People Helping People.” It’s our purpose, our charge.

But the question is, what needs are we talking about? Financial needs?
By and large, credit unions focus on helping meet the general financial needs of members but we believe we need to dig deeper as an industry. When you reach the real, authentic needs of your members, you can drive greater trust, loyalty, and a stronger bottom line. When we consider the member as a whole, we’re referencing Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
